    So if you give your entire income ( assuming one can afford too) to charity you still will be taxed?

    This is some seriously fuzzy math! The charitable deduction is not a reason for giving – true – but it is a simple issue of how much an individual can afford to give. Reduce the deduction and you reduce the giving – period. Would you rather have that money in the hands of a local charity or fueling a plane for Nancy Pelosi to travel the World? And of course, the top 1% won’t impact approval ratings. That is the real story here isn’t it?
